Fishy

We recently ate at our favorite Japanese restaurant called TOKYO.

They have the best sushi! As you walk through the front doors,

the first thing you see is a beauiful aquarium full of fish. They like

to swim up to you and say hello... actually, I think they're begging

for food.

Hotel Sweet

Kerry and I spent our first wedding anniversary in Cool Springs and stayed at The Embassy Suites... all the rooms surround the atrium... "sweet"...pun intended...harhar :-D

Nobody's Home

I looked up the village located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and here is a link: http://www.rutherfordchamber.org/cvb/visitors/what-to-see/what-to-see-detail.php?PRKey=4 Murfreesboro was originally named Cannonsburgh back in the day and Cannonsburgh Village is a reconstructed Southern village. We just happened to end up there last Saturday while we were searching for Evergreen Cemetery and we enjoyed walking through the village.

My son-in-law Kerry's sister was married in this church which is a part of the "pioneer village" in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Beautiful place for a wedding.

Fenced In

Stones River Battlefield

24,000 Civil War soldiers died on these fieids in three days. My great, great, great grandfather was shot on the last day and later died of his wounds. He's buried in a mass grave at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN. I drive through this battlefield almost everyday but this time I stopped in with my parents and we spent the day touring the sites. Awesome place!

Spark's Grocery

Spark's Grocery is a small store across the street from Capshaw School and a hop skip from our house. All the neighborhood kids would walk there to buy Garbage Pail Kids cards and candy. My mom did too when she was a youngster.

View from a window

This creepy view is from inside a house that a 100 year old woman lived in until she died recently. It's up for auction... I'd love to buy it but I'd rather not share a house with a ghost.
